Lissa slipped into her party dress. She hadn’t had the opportunity to wear it before now and had begun to question why she had brought it, but as she stood by the door waiting for her date to arrive she was glad that she had. It was light enough for the warm evenings that were the norm in this town, and if she got cold later on… well, if the date went well that may not be an issue, she thought, and then chastised herself. Bad Lissa. Don’t go getting ahead of yourself.
When Morgan arrived, all thoughts flew out of her head. She looked wonderful, as always.
“Hey, beautiful” Lissa said, sweeping her into a hug.
“That dress looks amazing, Lissi.” Morgan smiled. Finally. She was finally doing this. She was on a date with the woman she had loved for so long. Her palms were sweaty – she hoped she wouldn’t screw this up.
“Come to the fire, I brought marshmallows~” Lissa said, hoping to dispel the nerves that her friend was obviously suffering from. She shook the bag playfully, and walked over to the flames, relieved when Morgan followed.
“Wow! When did you get all this?”
“Well, I realised that there really wasn’t much to do here for a date, and I’d been saving up for a while so I-”
Morgan moved closer, and looked into Lissa’s eyes. “You didn’t need to. But thank you.”
They sat there, talking about everything and nothing. There was even a little bit of flirting. Nothing too serious, because neither wanted to scare the other away, but as the night went on it became clear that there was definitely something more than friendship between them.
Morgan laughed as she rested her head on Lissa’s shoulder. “Did you really just do that?”
“This is what sims do when they like each other, yes?”
“Lissi, love, that is probably the most cliché, cheesy move you could have pulled. It worked though.”
“It did?”
“It did.”
“Morgan.”
“Yes, Star girl?”
“May I kiss you?”
“I was hoping you would ask that.”
“Was that ok?”
Morgan smiled at the hopeful expression on Lissa’s face. It had been more than ok. It had been…
“Wonderful.”
They spent the rest of the date in each other’s arms, talking and exchanging sweet, soft kisses.
“Can we do this again sometime, Lissi?”
“I’ll take that as a yes, shall I?”
“Do you really need to ask?”
Lissa watched Morgan leave, and as she waved goodbye she noticed something strange. She was glowing. A pink that matched her hair lit her like a candle, and as she filled with warmth and joy the glow grew even stronger. She was in love.
~~*~~
The vase with the rose that she had been given had displaced her little horse and taken pride of place on her table. She could easily make another table. She might even make a shelf – she was certainly getting skilled enough to do so.
Her gardening was flourishing along with her relationship, and she began to graft certain plants together to create new ones. Soon she would have pomegranates, and dragonfruit, and even bananas! Everything was going wonderfully.
They had been dating for a month now, and ‘going steady’ for three of those weeks. Every date was better than the last, although in Lissa’s mind they had all been perfect.
Every.
Single.
One.
It got harder and harder to part at the end of the night. Lissa had been searching for the right moment all night, but they had been so wrapped up in each other that she simply hadn’t noticed the time flying past. Morgan got up, ready to leave, and Lissa grabbed her hands. She would do it now. She couldn’t bear it any longer.
“Morgan, love, I want to be with you. I don’t want you to leave. I know this house isn’t much, but I want to share it with you. Would you like to move in with me?”
“YES!” she cried, and pulled Lissa into a hug so tight that she could hardly breathe. “I’ll come back in the morning with my clothes and-” she stopped. Lissa was glowing. She was glowing so brightly it almost hurt to look at her.
“I love you. I love you so much.”
Well, Morgan thought as she pulled her girlfriend closer and kissed her, maybe she could just pop back and get her things in the morning. She wanted to stay here tonight.
Yay!! I’m definitely rooting for them 🙂

Same 🙂 It’s a small house, so it’ll be interesting to see how they work together around it.

It’s one of my favourite things about aliens 🙂 If they feel a strong emotion they glow that colour, and it’s adorable. Especially with pink!

The glowing is one of my favourite things about sixans! I love that their emotions are pretty much worn on their sleeves – it makes everything feel so sincere! ❤
